Rock Creek Industrial Park Waterline
& Pump System:
General Information
Rock Creek Industrial Park is located near State Highway 93 and State Highway 72, at the visitor’s center for Rocky Flats.
This project consists of designing and constructing a 7,000 foot waterline as well as a pump system and vault at Smart Reservoir. The coordination of this project was challenging due to the fact that the Denver Water Board, The Consolidated Mutual Water Company, and the State Land Board all had a stake in the project. At one point, the waterline will need to be bored underneath Smart Irrigation Canal, which holds water from the Denver Water Board. An easement was acquired from the State Land Board to run the pipe alongside the canal. The Pump system for this project is designed to pump 25 gallons per minute and will be supporting the Rocky Flats Visitor Center, which will soon become commercial/retail space.
